Converging Ideals is a group of objects and images assembled inside a portable backgammon box.  Thee top and bottom slots designed for holding markers containing knob-like pawns from a simple chess game.  The upper part of the game board has a series of six baby pictures, all crying or looking cross.  Screwed onto the game board in the middle is a black metal housing with an image of a woman's face peering out from the openings. A key painted red hangs from an extension of the housing and dangles over a cutout of a short-haired nude woman lying on a platform of bleached planks.
