The work is an assembly of elements inside a hinged wooden box opened up and set on a canvas with a painted off white frame. The elements consist of three females in the top half - an illustration of Joan Crawford, a young girl circa 1910, and a modern woman with a caption reading "sez who". In the middle is the statement "SOMETHING OF VALUE' in tiled letters. In the middle of the bottom half is a bell and ringer, flanked by an illustration of a waterfall, probably Niagara Falls, from a 1930's magazine, and an illustration of a r=yellow, round autombile, probably a Cadillac, from a 1950's magazine ad. attached to the car is a piece of fur.
