Engine Eyes is one of several that feature power tools taken apart and given new meaning. Here the two complementary metal casings of an electric drill are positioned side by side with sprigs of grass separating them. Each casing has a woman's eyes peering out from an aperture. On the left a painting of a domed church rests in one space, a portrait of a youth in another, and a piece of fur is glued into a third. On the right is a diagram of a nude man from four angles laid against some text in the largest space, with another portrait and another piece of fur in the others. At the lower right a small figure is walking two dogs. Mixed media.
