Viewed from a 90 degree angle, the picture is composed of a white wash painted with beige on a dark navy blue background that seems to resemble mountains and clouds in the upper half and perhaps a reflection in the lower half. Through the middle runs a strip of dark blue topped with strokes of green with shapes of dark red and yellowish brown that might seem like trees in the back of marsh or field.  The composition has a narrow frame and is enclosed by a broad white frame.
