Painting of a rowboat pulled up on shore of the Back River. Two other boats rest on their moorings in the river, which seems to be at or near low tide. Back River is known as a bay area located in the town of Duxbury in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. It is also the name of a one of a sequence of rivers that begins with the Duck Hill River, becomes the Back River, and merges into the Bourne Wharf River that then flows into Duxbury Bay. Got that?
